When you sign up with us, you give us certain personal information (your name, password, and email) as well as your business information (name, address, phone number, and website). Your personal information is always kept private, don’t worry. We may use your email address to send you feature updates and communication, but will keep it to a minimum. Your business information becomes public as soon as you make your first post on Pushlocal. By public, we mean that anyone that has the Pushlocal app can view your business information. You can always edit your business or personal information on your account page.
When you post information on Pushlocal, it becomes public. Anyone with the Pushlocal app can view the information you send, even if they are not following you. We will also post all Pushlocal business posts to our blog, currently at www.pushlocal.tumblr.com, meaning anyone with an internet connection anywhere in the world can view your posts. As enumerated in our Terms of Service, we may use your posts for promotional purposes as well.
If you connect your Facebook or Twitter accounts to Pushlocal, you are authorizing the cross-posting of your Pushlocal posts to those accounts. Cross-posting occurs when you check the appropriate Facbebook or Twitter check-box. Pushlocal will never independently post anything to your social accounts.
The current version of the policy will always be at (link). If we make a material change, in our sole discretion, we may email you and direct you to the new change in the policy.
We will preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect Pushlocal's rights or property.
